at times like these
those that give you the most purest form of happiness and has a certain kind of serenity to it.
humans often contradict themselves, but then once they give it a thought, they fall back on the words they say wishing they could take it back.
make sure to think before you speak or you will regret what you said.
the same things i have heard, repeated over and over.
it's a wonder how i can never get tired of it.
the lessons you learn in life will stay with you throughout, you can't say the same with the lessons inside the room. it may be able to grant you higher income and prosperity in the future...
but i ask myself: what is it that i really want for myself in the future?
peace or prosperity
love or kindness
to be able to give away all your belongings and run after the cross when everyone else will stand back and laugh at you, it is that courage and that strength that i wish to have.
in every trial and temptation, do you struggle and give up hope letting yourself be defeated by that unknown darkness? or do you pick yourself up everytime you fall and carry on fighting with the hope that He will see you through your days even in the darkest and bleakest moments?
not everyone is able to build their house on the rock, that way is seemiingly to difficult and painful. we let ourselves take the easy way, building our house on the sand. but when the waves come crashing down on us, our house will crumble to the ground like a pack of cards. however, the one who builds his house on the rock will remain firm even when the waves come.

1 Corinthians 11:1
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. 6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. 7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man. 9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. 10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.
13 Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering. 16 But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.
Help them to see the patterns of Thee,

let's say
A. Ignore the person, don't make any eye contact and head on towards the bus stop
B. Don't stop walking but just say sorry I'm busy and get away
C. Think of an excuse and walk off
D. Confidently hand your phone over to the person
Which of these would you choose?
Ephesians
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Accept the teaching of the world
And hopeless you will be,
But trust in God’s eternal plan
If you want life that’s free. —Branon
We are not saved by good works, but by God's work.

Worship
Service
Keep us from sin
Good government
Administration of justice
Perfecting of holiness in our Christian lives
So we preach Christ to everyone. With all possible wisdom we warn and teach them in order to bring each one into God's presence as a mature individual in union with Christ. To get this done I toil and struggle, using the Almighty strength which Christ suppiles and which is at work in me. - Colossians 1 :28-29

The Bread of Life

when i was young, i had the habit of mis-pronouncing the word psalm as "palm''..
haha.. :)
Psalm 51:1-12
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Biblical plant usually translated into hyssop is Ezob. Ezov is the Hebrew name of a plant mentioned in the Bible, in the context of religious rituals. In some English-language Bibles, the word is transliterated as ezob.
i just did a quiz on what is my hebrew name.. there are 4 possible names, Ahada, Ahava, Ahuva, Davida.. lol.. i thought it would just be 1.. wonder which is nice.. i like Ahava.. :)

today's sermon..
Submission to the Authorities
1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.
6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.
7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
