I've been away for about 5 weeks.
So much has been done and into the year 2019 speedily.
I want to see more change in me, and I will strive to make each day count.
Lots of things to expect, but I am keen on slowly changing my ill habits.
Significantly, I'm reminded that my health is important and so is my existence in other people's lives.
Need to take care of myself, and let it go when it's time.

I think this year might be full of nostalgia, since so many artists are making a comeback with new album and tours.
Backstreet Boys, Westlife, Busted!
Can't wait to listen to more.

Miss androp too, this song is so lovely to relax. I wish they would tour asia too.
https://youtu.be/753Gl2VlPF8
The melody is so early 2000s, catchy

So sweet, such a touching video.

I can't wait for their new album... so much has changed, but seeing the 3 of them makes me so happy!

love this cover!
Brother Stone Band covering Waterfalls - TLC ft. Stan Taylor & Clay Dub
https://youtu.be/brmW88EO_cI
remember hearing this song at the concert last year.
this version is so chill, like it a lot!
https://youtu.be/zirEKcNH9LE
another new song, it gives me a early Mayday vibes with the acoustic guitar in the beginning..
I like it!
https://youtu.be/pPzmPeyDTfU
such a good song, think this is going to be my new fave collab.
hopefully when I update again, there will be more new songs to discover!

more to listen to
LP - Girls Gone Wild
Bring Me the Horizon - MANTRA
quite liking the guitar intro here.
Crystal Lake - THE CIRCLE feat. Masato
the starting reminded me of one of OOR songs...
i went to check out their older songs, really damn heavy...
this song is definitely pretty good to be listening to live.
androp - hikari
been awhile since they have released a new song.
listening to Miura Daichi's new single, Be Myself too..
the other 2 tracks, Perfect Day Off and Breathless are pretty good !!
14 November 2016
miss me?
kidding only, back here with more music.
well, the weeks have passed a little too slowly but as they come they get busier everyday which is good still.
things to do, so i don't have to think about other things.
started listening to Mayday's newest album i think it's their 9th album.
so good as usual, realized it's been about 10 years since i started listening to them.
Daichi's new single, dance still so good.
decided to put this video instead of the mv because this is awesome.
the venue is pretty big for an outdoor live
i still like their songs even if it "doesn't sound like the old them".
it's still good to listen, love the melody here.
ever since i heard the demo version, have been waiting for the full band version.
Matt should have more parts though.
but i do like James' vocals here
nowadays the singing competition in China are pretty interesting when they have artistes on.
Jolin Tsai did a new version of this song, but the original ver probably didn't get much hits when it was released.
i like both versions though
i see a growing obssession with Jay Park songs in my listening
honestly think it was a good thing he went solo.
didn't know about the Korean ver. of this song until now.
where have i been that i didn't know androp was back with new mini ep

more reading to be done
just managed to finish the first book out of three that i borrowed from the library last week.
started reading
the author is more famous for the Anne series and this one i borrowed was more of the standalone titles which deal with relationships of two families.
Quite enjoyed this book to be honest.
Though i found a line in the book which was about Singapore abit strange.
also managed to find the 3rd book in the Tale of Shikanoko
tried my best to get a photo without the library sticker.
oh well, just want it to look clean.
i like this cover and the spines will form an image of the famous Great wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai
if i manage to see it next time i will try to get a photo of the full spine.
they are really pretty. the picador edition is nice as well but it is a 2-in-1 and very thick.
the last book i borrowed is another classic, Metamorphosis
i find the pocket penguin series are made in a really lovely size, the name suggests - pocket.
and they come in rainbow colors for different titles.
the penguin logo has changed a bit over the years but it's still endearing to look at.
currently it has a nervous look with the eye looking warily to the left.
remembered that this book was mentioned by a friend that it was a slight inspiration for Ishida Sui to come up with the story for Tokyo Ghoul.
it has been 5 years since the manga was serialized in Weekly Young Jump.
time really flies.
so it piqued my interest to read the source of the inspiration that led to such a successful manga.
there were a couple of times in the past months when i borrowed books but did not complete them, i didn't feel like blogging about it because it would not be nice and useless.
=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-
many books i bought this month. too many!
have yet to start on any of the books i bought, will get there eventually by the end of the year.
finished vol. 10 and so prepared to read this.
i've not read vol. 4 yet so i'll probably marathon it after i complete the library books.
i like the watercolor illustrations on the jackets.
decided to get this because it's JOJO and probably i can't read it because of my poor mandarin but i'll try!
i think it is a character guide to the series, the books put side by side form the big picture.]
even the back forms
currently i'm reading the Jojolion arc which i think i should have read the Stone Ocean part 6 with Jolyne. i think i will read her arc after i read Jojolion till wherever it is translated to...
pretty catchy song, it's been awhile since i last heard their songs.
love the bass line.
really missed out on androp's new music.
the intro is so awesome!!
suddenly have quite a bit of Jay Park songs on my playlist
Michael, oh my Michael
he looks so good here.
cute video though.

music dump
really enjoy their songs
really fun to hear, still catchy like Rude
androp - ghost
still like their songs though the video is pretty normal compared to their previous ones
i do hope they continue because i will miss them if they stop
normally i don't listen to Alesso
but i did hear his remix of one republic's song which was nice
Jung Yong Hwa - One Fine Day
i think he can do pretty well alone
isn't it lucky for the vocals to come up with a solo and they will be fine but it's not the same for other members
tenchi gaeshi - acoustic version
so good, live!!!
except the parts with the pause for the streaming
the harmonica~~ ah~
Kinoko Teikoku
because this is one of the few bands i listen to with a female lead
people in the box
questionable things that stylists choose for performers to wear
but other than that, the live is great!
Noda sounds good.. his rap/singing is so in time with the accompaniment
like i wonder does he need backup singers?~
kay, i'm done here for now~
24 August 2014
rest day
yeah
the awaited rest week is here~!
went to check out icds at SCAPE today and bought quite a number of things, mostly stickers
before we went there, we had lunch at goemon pasta
alot of pasta
we went to Bugis is have dessert at Tai-Parfait
tried the Banana Chocolate which was nice!~
the custard cream was quite sweet so the chocolate filling in the taiyaki wasn't sweet
oh wells, it was a nice experience and new food tasting session!
then after that we decided to head to SCAPE.. which by that time was about 2+ pm
quite late, since the event started at 11am
my mini loot!
so the first thing i had to get was of course, Gintama related merchandise
don't you think chibis are so cute?
the other 2 were bought at stalls on level 2 while Nagisa sticker was bought on level 5 in the airconditioned hall
the Groot is going to be for some people at work
though i must say, he's cute!
and then, right now Persona series is gaining more popularity...
managed to get 2 badges
and then i got 2 dmmd badges too... still think it's weird to use dmmd short form since it's just Dramatical Murder
the characters i got are Clear, Aoba (and Ren) from dmmd and Yu and teddy from Persona4
didn't really think of getting any Free! related things...
but since this was labelled as "bookmark" at the stall, i just went ahead to get one
turns out that the more i see it, it's growing on me
cute and random!
i'm not one for buying doujinshis or prints, but since we had some time and walked a few rounds all the levels we looked at some of the prints that the stalls had...
there was one that sold Tokyo Ghoul prints on level 2
at first i didn't think of buying but, later on i decided to just go buy because it was just good enough instead of waiting for original art
i actually like Uta the moment i saw the anime, haha
and you know the 2 characters that people will most likely cosplay at AFA 2014 is Kaneki and Uta
ok, i'm done with my haul from the event but then i have another small purchase
after we left the area we went to the basement of scape, or the fashion area and i saw them selling stickers
couldn't resist ok!
can i just say that it's so adorable!!!
oh my gosh!!~
someone has got to show this picture to Sugita-san at stgcc!!
the fact i'm not going for stgcc is just sad
but still support!!~
and along the same thoughts to the chibi SnK...
i have a new toy!
she's so cute!!
whee!!~
shall have lots of fun times assembling and taking photos of this!!!
thanks so much to kimeki!
big smiles! big smile in my heart!!
and then i found this...
Japanese version of Yong Bao (directly translated into Dakishimete)
i think this is the first i will ever say with all my feels that the original is the best
and this!!
can i thank M-ON movie with all my heart for uploading this and just so you know it was recent
everyone looks so happy!!!
i think Tatsuya is just so happy to see the fans and perform...
given that this stage area was pretty small, the turnout was huge!!
i think i shall spam watch METROCK 2014!
whee!~
androp was there too!
the member that i think is cute is actually the drummer
honestly saying...
ok, that's it for now!~

red white moon cake
Kazokugari ending theme, Shout by androp
shadowplay in the video was quite nice...
fumiya's hair is fluffy!!~
so happy they finally got a new song!
Tegami is the title!
looks like they have a replacement drummer
maybe since their song is used in Tokyo Ghoul more people will know of people in the box?
but i still think fumiya's voice is more interesting (imo)
THE NOVEMBERS - Mer
Yusuke's voice is not my fave because he doesn't really do falsettos as well as Takahito (androp)
but the instrumental background is always good
for THE NOVEMBERS songs, it's always unpredictable
because at first it might seem like a soft shoe-gazing kind of song and then at the end the drums and guitar go off loud and i'll be like O.O!! yes.. i'm awake now
kimi wa bokura no mono - clammbon
because NICO will be covering this song
and because... i want to see Micchan
but this song is also pretty good live
12 July 2014
jia you for tmr
can't wait for the single + dvd to come :)
going to be broke by this year end
how to hit my savings goal by this year end?
>m<
trying to save... trying... it's always pretty hard
been watching quite a number of Daichi's live performances
like what i remember my friends saying...
jpop artistes need to have alot of stamina too for the dancing and singing
i love the dance at the end of this video.
the song is Turn off the light
the stage in this video is... awesome
環状線は僕らをのせて / the chef cooks me
Gotoh sitting at the gas station.....
anyway, the song is great!
The Long Goodbye - Goto's song (in his solo project)
androp's new single, Shout which will be used in the new drama kazoku something-
um.. i feel like watching it!~
just because, the cast is good
kay, tmr is going to be F shift!
jia yous to me

movie time
went to catch Rio 2 yesterday afternoon with my friend!
it was fun!
there were alot of Caucasians in the cinema hall too
before the show we went to the Charlie Brown cafe to eat lunch!
they were showing the peanuts gang cartoon on the tv inside the store
so cute!
here are just some pictures of the Angelala zelf with the mini zelfs
yesterday was terribly hot in the afternoon but it rained in the evening
it's been like this for the past week
>.<
it's going to be a rainy period when the 2nd part of the year arrives
gotta save money for the year end events
but am tempted ton buying androp's period album
i fear it might be their last

hanasanaiiiii~
Merry by DIRTY OLD MEN
i have a feeling this band will be the next on my playlist
:)
just feel weird when i want to say their name
like going to ask people:"Hey, do you know the Dirty Old Men?"
and thinking of the people's reaction like: "wtf? you like perverts? HENTAI"
:P
please don't misunderstand ok?
the Nobuyuki's voice has a raspy sound...
and quite on the high note...
but his voice here...
the most calm version...
Beautiful Morning with You - the pillows
not really.
but going back to this again... i love this song actually.
will have to try tagging every band or artiste i post about.. it's hard to trace if i don't tag...
>.<
Dan and Phil's reaction to Teens React to them
will they do a teens react to chris and pj?
because it would be awesome if they could react to the fantastic 4 videos..
SUPER BEAVER - Arigatou
yes, i heard their songs before...
pretty good!
SHE'S - Voice
the band is called SHE'S
yes. another weird name.... @-@
i think they are quite new...
BLUE ENCOUNT - Unbalance
so far i only really like their song HALO and HANDS..
their other songs are good too though
HOWL BE QUIET - Merry
the song is called Merry
haha.. another band with a pianist inside...
and i just saw this!
am i too late?
goodness!! their latest (last?) album is coming out and it's called period.
by far i still think the directing for their music videos are always amazing...
OK....
this is alot of bands... catch up again soon!~
*the title: is one of those words i like when its sung in song..
whee~ think of Hanabira~
22 September 2013
SnK is a damn emo anime
My Immortal covered by Lindsey Stirling
Titanium and Pavane - Piano Guys
 |
| tonight's lineup is my fave! |
 |
| 4 bands that i so wish to see |
 |
| ~ANDROP~ |
right now my fave band...
always been repeating their songs since last sem of poly...
 |
| nico |
they are the next band i want to watch live!!~
 |
| the bawdies |
whee! Roy!
i wanted to put OOR picture too
:P but shall just put my most fave bands here
ah, started watching shingeki no kyojin...
still not too late, i guess??
can the sadness in the anime be comparable to clannad??
each characters background is so grim... even with the light-hearted moments thrown in, it still feels so hard to laugh...
this is turning out to be a pretty depressing anime with lots of characters dying.
the titans actually look pretty funny...
they move pretty fast despite their size which is weird...
should be physically impossible..
26 July 2013
j-rock jams
they always seem to have a good director for their pvs...
i however do not want to be part of that "audience"
body surfing looks fun but not if you are the person doing the carrying...
that said, the last part in the video from their live...
dekai~ the outdoor floor space is so big
their performance of Summer Lover on music day
someone tell me ryuta learned something from t. swift?
the verse sounds like some t. swift song in my opinion...
but its actually a fun sing-along song...
and Kazuki's sp cameo at the end...
lol!!
this is actually pretty cool...
almost want to compare to WEAVER but since the vocals is singing in English
i'll just put them in the jap bands singing english list.
i can't find other songs by them..
the war is on!
don't say i really like this genre but they are something coz the songs remind me of linkin park..
the chorus are always melodic...
finally something new comes from BLUE ENCOUNT...
relatively ok sound but the energy is so good!
Hello goodbye - galileo galilei
not a new song but its still fun to listen to...
teaser for Mayday and flumpool's song Belief!
its sounds good!! because Ashin voice suits to sing the lower key...
can't wait to hear the whole song!!!!!
31 October 2012
Hallo!
more music today....
WHITE ASH
please say he was singing in English.. or was i just dreaming?
lol...
their energy is good.
and i just randomly searched this...
Buddhistson
and androp has a new mv for the song End Roll
he can play the piano too... (OcO)
and he looks like Yuji from the back view...
but i think Yuji plays it more naturally.
but Takahito's voice is still precious~
plenty also released their audio preview of their EP
all the songs are so fast-paced and heavy laded with guitar...
Galileo Galilei
I heard of this band before, plus they were in PATI PATI too but i didn't really get around to listening to them until today.
they aren't that bad...
and the band has twins in it... it's sad that 3 members had left, but it's good they didn't completely disband.
Band breakups are just reality and can teach us all a thing or two about life. Changes happen and not necessarily mean good or bad news. The people who leave it and the people who remain, you can't say who is the good guy or the bad guy. The only thing is important is the music - that you should just enjoy the music that is being made. If you don't like it, then that's your opinion that's changed.
well... life goes on right? People come into your life and leave at some point of time. Even so, life goes on and each day passes. But just as I am striving towards a brighter future and better prospective, so are others. That's when others decide on change. And they say if you never try, you'll never know.
So I guess that's why everyone has to move. Move on, get up and go.
wow.. .that was pretty intense....
ok...
since it's Halloween i shall post a scary picture.
but i like to incorporate comedy into everything...
eye balls... they taste nice you know?
[^W^] nom nom nom...

japanation
October just came and now it has already been the end of the first week!
How fast time past!
This month I will have 2 birthday parties to attend.
This year has been the most number of times I went to a birthday party, because its the freedom age.
Oh well, good for me. I can increase my EXP level in Socialization.
haha, its not really a joke.
I'm a noob when it comes to socialization.
Anyway, this post is just a update on things, news happenings that I've missed out~
I only get to use the net now on weekends, it has shorten to just a span of 12 hours.
ah~
Must get more out of it
Firstly, the newest news that came out yesterday~
[champagne] and BIGMAMA will be going to Taiwan for a concert
so goooood!!! d(>_< )ＧＯＯＤ！
First it was announced that SID would be having a special live in Taiwan and even added more dates. Now the indie bands have started to go there~
Next is the number of bands that will be providing theme songs for shows/anime~
UVERworld will be releasing a new single, for the Ao no Exorcist film
no details of it yet so I can't say much as well.
Hope it will be a great song!
AKFG will be providing the theme song for the movie, Yokomichi Yonosuke.
The movie stars Kora Kengo, Yoshitaka Yuriko, Ayano Gou and others.
If it comes out here I might want to watch it. ahahaha.
Only watch for Yuriko and Ayano Gou.
Kat-Tun as previously already announced that their new single, Fumetsu no Scrum will be used for a drama which i can't recall.
The pv is out already.
and I've not seen it yet due to the horrible internet connectivity which deprives me of pictures, videos.
(ノ_・、)
shall watch this another time~
androp will be releasing their 2nd album on Dec 5!
yeah!~ can't wait for it
and speaking about movies, Ikuta Toma will be having a new movie called Nou Otoko.
and it will be his first time acting as a killer.
He is also having a new drama Osozaki no Himawari.
There will be a new drama called Going my Home which stars Abe Hiroshi and Miyazaki Aoi is also in it.
Shall check it out too~
And NICO will be having a new single too!
Yume 1-gou will be released on Dec 19!
whee!~
oh, and i've come across quite a few Japanese surnames at work.
Umayahara is an interesting surname.
Almost mixed up Umayahara into Uyamahara.
lol...
the list of Japanese dramas this fall is so-so. a mix of detective/romance dramas.
and most of the dramas have good casts.
when they start airing i will definitely check it out!
Still watching Arang and the Magistrate~
ah, still have so much secrets hidden.
and my mother said Lee Jun Ki is a very good actor.
haha.. ^-^

15 September 2011
Japan the place to go to...
improve your music skills, start a band and hold awesome lives!!
yes, its very dreamy concept i have.
but yes, technically almost everyone can be a musician there...
considering the
number of unknown talents running amok there..
(amok = non-murderous intent *but i might know why their horror films do SO well now)
on the actual subject then..
up-coming to the rest of the world and should be already famous in Japan,
rock/pop band: Androp
i'm quite suprised by the number of beings online (tumblr) who are awaiting androp's new album.
(^O^)
first time that i heard of them was through livejournal.
yes, i also realized their existence this year.
>.< wols
everyone who has heard them are pretty excited for their next release, Relight.
official first album.
i think many people went into frenzy after their music video, Bright Siren was released.
(if you have not seen it, you're not the only soul missing out.)
i think it caters to camera lovers or plainly for the music.
i'm part of both. :)
it wasn't from day 1 that i started listening to Japanese bands.
in fact it took awhile for me to get used to it and eventually learn the language.
still, looking back, it has been perhaps only 4 years ago since i started my love affair with Japan.
i was first introduced to Japan by my friend, who listened to songs by BoA.
2005 i remember, i bought her Japanese album.
i had a senior who liked cosplay and i think into the gothic kind..
that was when i knew the first Japanese figure, Gackt.
haha.. i'm not trying to say he's old!!
but yeah, Japanese talent tend to debut so early and blossom slowly..
but they are very popular during their heyday...
i can't remember exactly which band or group i listened to...
i think it was very random...
i started with anime.. arts central used to air Inuyasha and Chl U aired D.N. Angel and FMA
many other awesome animes..
from the opening and ending theme songs i would listen to them..
silly of me, i only listened to the TV size which is the short ver. not the full song.
after animes, i went on to watch j-doramas..
i guess it was the best times of my life when i finished one show after another...
(at this point, i had not started learning Japanese yet)
only after i got my hands on the magazines!!
that was in 2008...
the first time i saw PATI PATI... May issue with YUI on the cover! :)
that was when i knew about SID
which became my first favourite band (currently still is!)
wanna see how they looked like in 2008?
i think the best music mag should be PATI PATI
:)
there's a good balance of pictures and info so it should satisfy all our cravings for our favourite bands.
but they usually don't do much indies...
i don't know how to define indies.. my own definition would be unlabeled or contract bands who are not yet famous overseas.
they may have a following in Japan but elsewhere may not be as many.
LOL! i know it's totally untrue but yeah, to me that's what indie bands are. ;P
i do hope androp can score an interview with PATI PATI after they release relight!
they are on the cover of Talking Rock! though... :D
continuing on with my story,
i only self-learnt Japanese after listening to SID songs.
"they were awesome!" i thought so "I have to learn Japanese to understand what Mao is singing!"
i'm greatful that i found out about SID which led me to search for more artistes!! :)
and from there to improve in my Japanese.
personally, one thing i realised about VK and other rock bands..
VK vocalists tend to have a way of pronouncing words and their tone is usually stronger than the latter. (other rock bands are non VK bands.)
vocalists for normal bands may not have the best voice compared to others but have other talents to make up for it.
like, for most case the vocals also play the guitar (flumpool) or piano (WEAVER)
for SID's case, the way Mao writes his lyrics is like a story-telling kind...
Mao is in charge of writing lyrics while other mambers take turns to write the music.
though the work is split up when the final song is put together, it turns out well.
don't know how to say.... umm... like for RAD's case, Noda likes to write lyrics that are very straight-forward and having lots of things to say so he rap/sings.. since he is in charge of both lyrics and music for some songs, i guess there's more effort that can be felt in making the final song.
right about here, i should confess that...
i've been sucked to the K side..
umm.. but my heart will always be with you, Japan!
i was sold the moment i stepped into the world there..
:D
to me, however did the language come about i don't know.
but i really like the sound of Japanese because it's like singing..
do-re-mi-fa-so.. ♪~ ゛(´д｀*)゛~♪~♪ ﾌﾝﾌﾝ
they have a-e-i-o-u that's why it was easy to pick up.
righty then, i think this is the end of my japan love story.
not saying that i'm not loving them already! still am! :)
well then, i'll be off now!!

21 July 2011
a random entry now~
i managed to catch an ep of gintama on monday..
and just yesterday i walked past someone watching gintama in school.
it was one crazy ep again.
lol.. :D
i wonder which ep the person was watching yesterday.
haha.. at least i saw someone who knows and watched gintama.
have lots to do today.
going full throttle from tmr onwards.
on with the projects so that i can put ny mind at ease and look forward to next Friday.
:)
might go to somewhere special for lunch later...
will update fgf if i do.
:D
recently, i've been listening to The Boss, B1A4.. :)
i think it was right when The Boss named TVXQ as their idols.
their ballads are really good.
夏の記憶 and もう最後になると are my faves!!
they came to SG recently for the Korean Music Wave 2011.
i don't know what songs they performed but i guess it would be their korean songs.
(edit: i checked xinmsn, they performed: 'Admiring Boy', 'New Boyz' and 'Stumble Stumble')
i would prefer it if they did their Jap songs..
i think they are like choshinsei because they are pretty popular in Japan.
but maybe choshinsei was a little down on luck when they first debut in Korea.
but anyways, look at them now!
they are getting more recognised with each growing day!
on to the Jap side, im like in love with androp songs now..
got to know abt this band from lj!
:D
i said before but i can say it again,
i like some singers who can hit falsettos.
only if the song calls for it and he is good at it.
GD (Big Bang), Noda (RAD) and now androp's vocals..
i don't know their names at all.
>.<
luckily they have mvs.. :)
i absolutely love Tonbi, it's from their first album.
http://youtu.be/USww8DV6g50
there is a video of their live perf at LIQUIDROOM..
i suppose its at a bar/club or something..
http://youtu.be/oDdldxqh13c
their sound is a mixture of the indies bands like the telephones and mainstream bands like RADWIMPS. :)
sounds pretty much like a winner to me already!
from the live perf, almost all the members remind me of Genki.
hair covering the eyes.. :P
the bassist is wearing specs.. he reminds me of that Taiwan singer, Crowd Lu..
:D but cuter.
i kinda expected the vocals to look like that.
but i don't like the hair!! :(
alamak...
but then, if i just hear the song and not see, it's ok.
:)
wonder why they like these type of hairstyles..
ok.. at least i can see genki's eyes..
genki is looking down but at least can see his face..
and why does the drummer, seiji look like shinji much??
summore his name ends with'ji'!
shin-shin plays the drums now?? :D
haha... poor yuya will throw a fit..
but yuya won't lose his job since he can also play the guitar!!
talented men!!
right, gtg now!!
tata~
