more reading to be done

just managed to finish the first book out of three that i borrowed from the library last week.

started reading

A Tangled Web by L.M. Montgomery

the author is more famous for the Anne series and this one i borrowed was more of the standalone titles which deal with relationships of two families.

Quite enjoyed this book to be honest.

Though i found a line in the book which was about Singapore abit strange.

we're pretty well known now.

also managed to find the 3rd book in the Tale of Shikanoko

Lord of the Drakwood

tried my best to get a photo without the library sticker.

oh well, just want it to look clean.

i like this cover and the spines will form an image of the famous Great wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai

if i manage to see it next time i will try to get a photo of the full spine.

they are really pretty. the picador edition is nice as well but it is a 2-in-1 and very thick.

the last book i borrowed is another classic, Metamorphosis

No.8 Penguin Classics

i find the pocket penguin series are made in a really lovely size, the name suggests - pocket.

and they come in rainbow colors for different titles.

the penguin logo has changed a bit over the years but it's still endearing to look at.

currently it has a nervous look with the eye looking warily to the left.

remembered that this book was mentioned by a friend that it was a slight inspiration for Ishida Sui to come up with the story for Tokyo Ghoul.

it has been 5 years since the manga was serialized in Weekly Young Jump.

time really flies.

so it piqued my interest to read the source of the inspiration that led to such a successful manga.

there were a couple of times in the past months when i borrowed books but did not complete them, i didn't feel like blogging about it because it would not be nice and useless.

many books i bought this month. too many!

volume 2 of Overlord light novel

have yet to start on any of the books i bought, will get there eventually by the end of the year.

vol. 11 Bungou Stray dogs

finished vol. 10 and so prepared to read this.

final vol. of Orange

i've not read vol. 4 yet so i'll probably marathon it after i complete the library books.

i like the watercolor illustrations on the jackets.

JOJO

decided to get this because it's JOJO and probably i can't read it because of my poor mandarin but i'll try!

i think it is a character guide to the series, the books put side by side form the big picture.]

the main protagonists for all the main 8 parts

currently i'm reading the Jojolion arc which i think i should have read the Stone Ocean part 6 with Jolyne. i think i will read her arc after i read Jojolion till wherever it is translated to...



pretty catchy song, it's been awhile  since i last heard their songs.

love the bass line.



really missed out on androp's new music.
