small post

THE NOVEMBERS - kyou mo ikita ne

another song that sounds soothing, just like pilicia

suddenly i feel like listening to the shoegaze bands

sleepy.ab is actually one that is really good

but one thing about shoegaze genre is that you can't listen to them too much

it makes you want to put off everything you want to do and drift off into ... space?

sleepy.ac - machi

the ac in the name means acoustic

the usual ab means abstract

this kind of song gives me a feeling of how mori fashion should be.
it suits the kind of fashion, free and natural

kiseru - hanare banare

the melody!

Something Ever After - the hiatus

think this is not the original, but the song is pretty good

makes me think if i should get the album Nano mugen compilation 2014

because they have Tenchi Gaeshi inside too!

BBB still awesome

Rawhide live -NICO

their previous single, but not alot of hype over it.
(since, it was not used in a anime/drama)

but Daisuke still killing it on the guitar

Nami - NICO

one of my fav slower songs...

what i understand

I think I’m slowly getting the concept of why bands release singles every now and then before they do a full album.

It’s because they work a lot to produce a well-deserved single; good enough to be on the charts at least and they don’t want to let their fans be disappointed by waiting so long.

Singles are released also for another reason; at times different songs evoke different moods and may cater to only some people. So by releasing singles, fans can choose which one they prefer. At least that’s what I guess.

Honestly I’m the kind that waits for the full album since I know most of the hits will be in it. Otherwise, I will wait for the Best Hits album.

At times, bands may choose to release a mini-album which contains an average of 6 songs more or less to meet the needs of fans that are really dying to hear their release. Mini albums contain more B-sides compared to full length albums of like an average of 13 songs more or less.

Singles are actually A-sides but they don’t really put the words “A-side” unless they are very sure it’s going to be a super hit and can definitely make it to the top charts.

Singles also contain B-sides which sometimes have a very different sound compared to the usual. B-sides are usually more experimental and if the feedback on B-sides is highly positive, the band may consider putting out an all B-side album.

In which case, some major label bands seeing high success rates have done that and sales have not been affected. Perhaps, maybe only slightly for that particular album, but it’s a very risky decision to release such albums, so very few bands have done it.

Release dates of any type of album vary. On average it is almost every quarter or more than that. Some bands only release 2 singles a year, but in the coming year they may drop a full-length album. Which may explain the quietness and still waters.

I compare the waiting to the ocean, because still waters can represent hope when you see ripples at times. Like, you know there’s going to be a release soon but WHAT? And WHEN? The 2 main ‘W’ in the fans minds… and the critics too.

Singles are like snacks/mini treats from the band to their fans.  It’s like having a box of chocolates but not eating all in one go; a bit by a bit… you need to play hard to get to get more loving.

I don’t know why I used that phrase. My weird mind is thinking weird again. Haha…

But on that topic, most bands write songs about love which is the No. 1 “Must-write-since-people-will-be-able-to-relate-to” type of songs.

At times they are so lovely to split into the single people group and the already in love group, and the been there done that over that group.

these are just my thoughts, not the actually meaning...

my randomness is starting again.

thank you for reading... :P

the HIATUS - On Your Way Home

kind of miss his voice.
sadly, ELLEGARDEN and the HIATUS is not the same...

Tell me you are here to stay
In this crazy mixed up world
And we still can make it right

Wake up
Wake up
This is coming to an end
