13.03.2010 will be the day i will remember always.
for the 4hrs at Marina Bay, it was worth it.
even though many major groups weren't able to make it, the substitutes were good.
there were many people at the grandstand by the time i arrived there with my friend.
that's a man-made football field behind the stage.
we reached the grandstand at around 6.30..
around 7 the sky started to turn dark, it drizzled only a short while then the clouds let up.
thank god. :)
it was reaching 7.30pm but the concert had not started yet.
the show officially opened at around 7.40pm..
many of our local artistes performed, Olivia Ong, By2, Budak Pantai and special guest star Liu Ling Ling.. (she acted in 881)
local group, chou pi jiang also paid a tribute to all out local singers.. pioneers of Singapore music scene..
i didn't take many photos during the concert because the lighting was terrible
really bad pic. this was when By2 was performing.
after presenting some awards, the other overseas artistes came up to perform.
lin you jia (yoga), xiao gui (huang hong sheng)..
xiao gui performing.. he was pretty good for his first performance here.
he has many supporters as well..
Yoga was good too. there are many videos put up by people on youtube who were there yesterday too.
JJ's performance was truly wonderful. he performed 3 songs from his new album, 100 days, back to back and jia you.
the main draw of the show was obviously Shinee. there was quite a number of malays in the audience too..
the crowd went ecstatic the moment the 100.3fm DJs introduced them and when they were performing..
i can't help but notice the in-your-face bias-ness around the grandstand. the moment they ended heir performance, almost immediately the audience upped and left. perhaps everyone was feeling really tired and wanted to get home to sleep. but as a sign of respect for the last artiste who had yet to perform, i think it was quite upsetting to watch large crowds leaving the area while he was still performing. the last performer won the most awards. his performance was superb.
i stayed until the end of the whole show, of course. not to brag that i showed my respect to the performers, but after all i paid to go to this show, it would be a waste to just leave before the finale. i knew all the singers would be called up the stage at the end. it was good to stay till the end.
although my favourite band wasn't able to make it, at least they still showed a video of them thanking for the awards they won. and promoted their up-coming concert at the padang.
in any case, yesterday was good.. enjoyable memory.. plus i also saw color-cone man!!
ah, but he looked kinda dirty..
