P!ATD concert recap

back here with another concert recap.

honestly this is the first concert that i went to that had more than half the concert-goers probably younger than me by at least 5 years. quite a number of them came in huge groups like more than 5.
it's the first time i attended a concert by an American band, watched a number of Japanese bands and the concert ettiqette is really quite different. (is it just me or it's a fact because they are different cultures and backgrounds?)

the dress code is quite a thing too. there was alot of band tees (obviously! band merch) and flannel.
cannot stress again but yes, everywhere i turn in the queue crowd, flannel of all colors most popular choice being red. a lot of dr martens too. not a fashion police so i can't say much.

well, i know for a fact that queues start really early in the day and people literally spend an entire day at the venue waiting in line till the show starts. honestly, the feeling by the time i reached the hall was a more to let's get this started and hope it's a good show.

it was good honestly not the best as i expected.  you can tell the audience was impressed by Brendon's vocals whenever he hit the high notes and used falsettos. i know technical faults can ruin the start of gigs there was something going on with the screen at the start before the show. the show started at 8.30pm, 30mins late which i'm not surprised though not sure why concerts always don't start on time. strange eh? logistical issues?

anyway, the setlist is a good mix of new and old and i enjoyed it.
they allowed photography and videoing i think.

there was a lot of people videoing the whole concert.

pre-concert

stage lights

the stage set up was really simple and the lights were really pretty.

Quite hard to get a good photo of the band because the spotlights were flashing everywhere

super small and blurry

so glad they performed new perspective , hallelujah, this is gospel and ready to go from the older songs... enjoyed it alot!

they suddenly left the stage an hour after starting and i didn't realize it ended until the fans started shouting "Brendon" and "1 more song"... they came back up on stage to perform a few more songs and officially closed the show with Victorious. everything ended at 10pm. it was surprising that they ended so promptly.

overall it was a good show but did not think it was their best.
still enjoyed my time yesterday!!
